5days2024

This year the Dalhousie Commerce Society will be partnering with Phoenix Youth Programs in Halifax for the ELEVENTH year in a row

"5 Days" is a nationwide campaign organized by the Canadian Association of Business Students. The campaign's purpose is to raise awareness and funds for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The donations collected during the campaign are given to local shelters and programs to support their services within the community.

This year, we have decided to make a change. Instead of having our team outside all night to raise awareness, as we have done in the past, we have decided to take a more hands-on approach by directly volunteering within the community.

Help us reach our goal of $5,000!

DONATIONS

Help us raise funds by making a monetary or in-kind donation. Donate to our fundraising page linked above or reach out to external@dalcomm.ca to make a special in-kind donation.

EVENTS

Youth in our community can face a number of barriers to success including poverty and economic uncertainty, social exclusion, systemic oppressions, traumatic histories, food insecurity, and the list goes on.  The current housing crisis remains relentless, and the pandemic has only amplified the inequities and challenges facing young people.

Phoenix Youth Programs supports youth ages 12-24 and their families throughout the Halifax region. Every donation will connect youth to emergency shelter, food, housing support, health care, parenting support, recreation, education and employment services, and clinical therapy. Phoenix is there for youth in whatever way they need.
